Successful project outcomes make me thrill – I appreciate the knowledge the most when the moment numbers and formulas intertwine and lead to a positive result. Being a utilitarian person, I love to utilize theories in subjects, such as mathematics, statistics, and computer science, and work out the problems. Even for most of the time, I was only asked to enhance product performance, and I would challenge the traditional ways of thinking and try to revolutionize our current business practices drastically.
Currently, I am a graduate student in the Master of Science in Business Analytics at USC Marshall School of Business. I consider myself an enthusiastic and analytical thinker with great ability to quickly understand or learn any statistic/machine learning models and apply them to solve real-world problems while utilizing powerful tools like Python and Excel.
I am interested in securing an internship in the data analytics field or any other area related to data. I wish to find a place where I will be able to leverage my knowledge gained from academic training to make realistic contributions while learning more advanced skills or techniques during the internship!

• Analyzed consumption pattern of consumers in the Bay area and made optimized development plans for 4 cities
• Negotiated with more than 50 small business owners and established cooperation relationship with over 20 of
negotiated owners
• Monitored sales data and coordinated small businesses to implement promotion plans lifted overall sales by 15%
• Reported price and policy changes weekly and predicted market growth based on seasonal data
Co-Founder&Operations Manager • Feb 2015 - Jan 2017
• Led initiation and establishment of Ohlone Chinese student association
• Raised initial fund of 2500 dollars and managed to publicize association via multiple media
• Designed advertising posters and flyers attracted more than 40 students to join
• Coordinated leader team to plan and operate 4 college-level events to enhance the association's influence
I have worked on complex and analytical projects in school and during my previous internships.
Through my academic training, I learned financial accounting, linear optimization, concept of microeconomics & macroeconomics, statistics and analyzed complex set of data using excel and programming.
My technical skills cover but not limited to:
• Led team to be one of top 50 teams with a high model f1-score of 0.85
• Explored and transformed Humana's longitudinal data with 800+ features and 60,000+ observations into a cleaned dataset
• Built a binary classification model to predict 16000+ members' possibilities of having a transportation issue
• Proposed targeted recommendations and future considerations for Humana according to prediction to better provide members in trouble with needed support
• Analyzed marketing data from over 50 properties and 70000+ observations using Python and SQL in a team of 6
• Identified key variables driving sales, and utilized hypothesis-testing to determine the significance of digital marketing campaigns
• Built a linear regression model capable of explaining 81.9% of the variation in ROI of marketing tactics
• Created a dashboard that visualized the volume sales boosted by each of 9 marketing activations across all the products
• Estimated theoretically the mathematical function of a product’s possible profit return
• Corrected the theoretical approximations by using Excel to determine the actual cross-profit
relationship for the product within its budget line
• Calculated by using the results from the corrected cross-profit relationship in Excel to determine
certain critical values of the product: its break-even, optimal profit margin, etc
• Drafted independently the outline proposal for the project concerning the particular business entity,
substantial questions, formal methods, relevant logistics, etc
• Designed the survey for acquiring the specific information required for the project
• Analyzed the econometrics of the data gathered by using Stata and offered strategic suggestions on
the basis of my interpretation of such results
